Today is a different day and has a new set of challenges for the little guy. They are weaning him off of the steriod, which was helping with the swelling but also causing his blood pressure to go up, so now the pressure is starting to go down on its own. He has been having a lot of trouble with secretions in his throat and it sounds awful like he can't breathe. But the doctors say his lungs are still clear, and they will put him on a medication to reduce the secretions and keep suctioning.

He seems to be in a little pain today so he got some Tylenol with a touch of morphine and has been sleeping most of the day. The oncologist came to visit and expects to start the chemo sooner, the beginning of next week, as long as he can go off the antibiotic he is on for the blood infection.

Thanks for the courage, support, strength, prayers, friendship, love, inspiration, experience and clarity you have all been giving us. Little Anthony has been a miracle from the very beginning and we are so glad you are all here to remind us of this ... it is the most important thing to remember through all of this.

[When Big Anthony and I had Olivia we used fertility treaments and after she was born our Dr. told us I would never be able to conceive without medical treatment, so naturally when I was pregnant with Anthony we called him to tell him he could not have been more wrong and he said that sometimes miracles happen :)]

Today our pastor came and I told him that I did not know how it was that we could be so strong and he reminded me that God was there to hold us up and give us strength, and he is and he's working through all of you. We are so lucky. What Anthony has already contributed in his short time here is big, we donated the tumor to a tumor bank for a research study. ATRT is so new and they are trying to find an effective course of treatment and cure for it. It may not be any time soon, but we hope they do.
